The Spark of an Idea
KubeKit was born out of a shared desire among engineers to simplify the complex process of Kubernetes management. Inspired by the ease and clarity that tools like Lens brought to navigating Kubernetes, we wanted to go a step further—making on-prem cluster creation just as accessible. Building a Kubernetes cluster is traditionally a labor-intensive team effort, adding time and cost to any project. As engineers who love efficiency, we dreamed of a tool that would simplify the entire Kubernetes journey from start to finish, all within an intuitive GUI.
Overcoming Challenges
Creating a GUI for on-prem Kubernetes cluster building was no easy feat. The process is traditionally manual, involving numerous scripts, countless variables, and endless trial and error. From operating systems to Kubernetes versions, every aspect is constantly evolving, adding layers of complexity. Our challenge was to consolidate these complexities into a seamless, automated flow. We faced hurdles in simplifying this heavily technical process, but our commitment to innovation kept us on course. After countless iterations and refinements, KubeKit emerged as a solution that transforms this complex task into a smooth, efficient experience.
Our Vision
While tools like Lens laid the groundwork, we saw the need for something more—a comprehensive solution that would not only build clusters but also handle application deployment, monitoring, and modification. Our vision is to make Kubernetes accessible to developers at all levels, eliminating the steep learning curve and reducing the need for large teams to manage clusters. With KubeKit, Kubernetes will become a household name in the developer community, and we’re committed to achieving that goal with passion and perseverance.
